In knowing what I know now, I realize I should have started making something on my own more than a decade before I actually whole-heartedly began. Whether it "wasn't the right time" or because I was told it was risky, I didn't do more than dream about what could be ... and I can't go back in time and tell myself that not doing so was likely a mistake.
What I can do, though, is help others who have that same nagging feeling -- that there is something you've always been meant to put into the world -- believe it is possible, and follow that up with actual help to get them to where they want to go.
"I believe people should have as much happiness in their professional lives as they do in their personal lives."
Ryan is a lifelong broadcaster who is focused on using his best skills to help other people win. For years, Ryan knew his professional purpose was to build something from scratch and put it into the world, but focusing on the worry of others kept him from taking that leap. Finally, in 2022, he decided to go for it, and the result has been the most fulfilling years of his professional life.
Often, Ryan has been told that conversations with him are motivating and leave people "fired up." As a result, he has set out to help as many people as possible have the belief and resources to successfully put that thing they've always wanted to see in the world.
Although being a play-by-play broadcaster has been the thing Ryan wanted to pursue professionally since he was in high school, as a 30-year-old, he set out to explore what else might complement that goal, and turned to the book What Color is Your Parachute?
A book that puts the reader through several exercises to uncover moments from their professional history that really stood out as enjoyable and challenges them to compare their favorite skills one-on-one with intention and thoroughness, What Color is Your Parachute? helped Ryan emerge with his favorite skills -- talking, imagining, creating, conveying feelings, performing, improvising, new projects, sharing credit, motivating and researching. Ryan calls those his truths -- and sets out to find more ways to use those skills on a daily basis.
"Ryan has a unique way of making his clients engage in worthwhile conversations. His use of consultative practices are among the best I have seen. His many talents included his use and understanding of technology, his willingness to exceed expectations, his inclination to help others, and his easiness to build interpersonal relations with others. I highly recommend Ryan for relationship-building, business strategy, marketing, and consultative sales."
